Last week saw us attend our second MCM ComicCon at the NEC Birmingham; a 2-day event attended by creatures far and wide - some cosplaying as their favourite comic-inspired characters including Deadpool, Iron Man and the odd walker or two, although thankfully Rick Grimes was also around to keep those under control!
At the crack of dawn Saturday morning the team loaded up and set off down the M40. The setup of our stand was a swift operation as always, before we trialled our first live Facebook video (shown below), giving our followers a sneak-peak behind-the-scenes of all the traders and stands setting up before the show was open to the general public.
Not long until doors open! A sneak peak behind the scenes... #LondonDecal #MCMComicConPosted by LondonDecal on Saturday, March 19, 2016
Soon doors were open and there was a great positive atmosphere floating through the venue, as there always seems to be at MCM ComicCon. The change in shifts meant we all got the occasional break and took the chance to explore what was on offer, from MCM eSports Street Fighter Tournament, to BumbleBee & Barricade from the Transformers franchise, to some very interesting full-body painting from Bodypaint Events UK! Guest appearances were aplenty including Warwick Davis, Hannah Spearritt and stars of Red Dwarf.
By the end of the weekend we had received some great feedback on our decals and designs, but most importantly we've been able to improve what we can offer in preparation for the upcoming MCM London ComicCon, held in the Excel at the end of May. Hope to see you there!
If you came along to either of our last two shows and saw us there, feel free to leave some comments and feedback below - we'd love to hear from you!
